WHAT has gone wrong with the Dons? They seem to have completely mislaid their fighting spirit.
Their anaemic form dates back their fourth round Scottish Cup defeat by Dundee at Dens Park on Saturday. March 8.
According to my Dundee correspondent there wasn't much spirit about them in the Dewar Shield tie at Tannadice on Saturday. They frittered away a three goals lead.
This lack of fight seems to have spread throughout the team. Only Thomson was immune against Dundee United.
ADMITTEDLY most of the glamour has disappeared from the season, but the players are being paid for their job. Recent displays are neither fair to the officials of the club nor to the the public.
The feeiing of lethargy has evidently communicated itself to the reserves. I saw them against Falkirk "A" and Brechin City during the past week and they were far from impressive.
The young Dons will have to show more lively form this evening it they are hold Hibg "A" in the first game of the Reserve League Cup quarter final at Easter Road.
The second match will be played at Pittodrie on Wednesday. Aberdeen "A” are the holders of the trophy.
