Aberdeen 0 - 0 Rangers

Aberdeen's "foreign legion" attack served up too-clever football Apart from five minute spell late in the second half, the Dons' forwards were goal shy. Then Jeffrey, Dumbarton came out of his shell, and twice he had really bad luck with grand shots.

Gray, of Morton, who was centre-half last week, proved a splendid leader. He was full go, and always ready for a shot. Had his colleagues taken a leaf out his book, the Dons would have won.
Rangers were chiefly recognisable by the colour of their jerseys. There was unwonted leisureliness about the play of the Light Blues.
McIntosh, centre, showed most enterprise. Once in the second half he was clean through, but a daring save by Moody thwarted him.
The ex-Hearts' 'keeper brought off several daring saves, as did Jenkins in Rangers' goal.
Both defences were on top. Neither attack looked like scoring, though the Rangers' lot, with fewer chances, were always more direct method.
Taylor, for Aberdeen and Thomson, Rangers, gave polished half-back displays, which stood out in a somewhat drab game.
