Aberdeen 2 - 0 Celtic

HT Score: Aberdeen 1 - 0 Celtic

Scottish League 'C' Division
Aberdeen scorers: O'Neil, Rodger.

13/01/1951 | KO: 14:15

Jimmy Wallace, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy Centre Half-Back, who played a promising trial for Aberdeen `A` against Celtic `A` at Pittodrie on Saturday was signed after the match. Wallace who is 5ft 11in and weighs 11 ½ stone, kept Haughney on a tight reign.
The 2-0 win gained by Aberdeen in this game puts them level at the top of "C" Division (North-East) table with Hibs and Dundee. Aberdeen led by a single goal at the interval but Celtic always looked capable of saving the game till Ian Rodger scored a second goal.
After this, the home forwards, who had been rather hesitant and uncertain became more lively, and Boyd, McNeil and Rodger all came near to adding further goals.
O`Neill, who scored the first goal gave another, convincing display at right half.
