By dropping a point against Raith Rovers "A" at Pittodrle on Saturday, the young Dons may have spoiled their chances of taking part in the knock-out stages in the Reserve League Cup.
At the moment Aberdeen hold a lead of two points, but Raith have a game in hand, and are well ahead in goal average
The Kirkcaldy team were perhaps rather fortunate that they had the wind behind them in the first half at Pittodrie on Saturday. They held a goal lead at the interval, but after that were scarcely seen at all as an attacking force.
By this time, however, the Aberdeen team was in a disrupted state, with Hay a passenger on the left wing and Bruce injured on the right wing Newlands was at right half and Anderson at right back.
