Poor finishing led to the downfall of the young Dons in Saturday's Supplementary League game against Raith Rovers at Kirkcaldy. They were beaten 1-0.
They had enough chances in the first half to put themselves in a comfortable position.
The best forward was Smith, inside-left. Allan was well policed by Raith pivot, Weir, and Brown, the more enterprising winger, saw some good crosses left unexploited. Ingram and Mulhall tried hard, but their efforts were often easily countered.
Wallace was the more effective wing-half, and bolstered up the attack, especially in the second half, with a number of hard shots on the target.
Clunie was the mainstay of the defence, and Morrison also caught the eye with some fine saves. He had little chance with the eighth-minute winner for Raith by Higgins.
