After having a strong season up front for the Dons in season 1907-08 Tom moved on to ibrox for a year but returned to Aberdeen, resigning in May 1909. Local weekly "Bon-Accord" was so delighted by this recapture that the published a short verse about it:

After a further two good season at Pittodrie, Murray moved on again, this time to Hearts.<.p>
