Profile: |
Full Name: Sylvester Samuel Willox
Previously a stalwart defender for Orion, Sam didn't manage too many matches for the newly amalgamated Aberdeen, despite being on the Pittodrie staff for a few years. However, in 1903 he was highly regarded, and when he suffered a troublesome knee injury, he was sent to Matlock for specialist treatment by the famous Doctor Allison, underlining the Club's willingness to do well by their players.
Sometimes played in goal for the reserves.
Born in Aberdeen, 1882. Died in Aberdeen, 1st April 1950 having been in business with D. M. C. Donald & Co. advocates, Belmont Street, for 53 years.
