Profile: |
Although he played all of his Dons' football in wartime competitions, Charlie made a very worthy contribution to the success of the Club in bringing home the available trophies at that time.
After he retired from playing, Charlie went into management, and eventually became a scout for Sunderland FC for about 25 years. He was responsible for taking 9 of their 1973 Cup winning players to Roker Park. In 1974 he was granted a testimonial match played at Whitley Bay.
