Blair shows that there is another route. He came from Hutchison Vale FC, a very well-known and respected Boys Club in Edinburgh, where we have managed to recruit players in the past. Blair played at left-back coming through and we kept an eye on him over the years. He has grown into being a really tall left centre-half. He's a player who was really sought after through the country and had a number of offers from various football clubs so we feel it is a real achievement that Blair chose to come to Aberdeen because we did not put a lot of pressure on the youngster.
