Arriving from Hungarian side MTK Budapest for an undisclosed fee, the 26-year-old was born in Germany and began his career with Kosovan club Ferizaj before moving to Prishtin. Ylber then played for Albanian clubs Drita and Partizani before a spell in the Danish Superliga with Vejle BK.
After making 10 appearances for the Albanian U21 side, Ylber gained his first cap with the senior side when he started against Norway in 2018. His first goal for his country came against Moldova in 2019
